Batman '66 | Logos

I have been on a Batman kick of late, specifically "Batman '66."  Batman '66 is the nickname for the television series that first aired in 1966 and related projects.  The '66 moniker is used to distinguish the show from later Batman movies, in the same way the 1960s Star Trek series is sometimes called Star Trek: The Original Series or "TOS."

I decided to try to replicate some of the existing logos used for the characters and create new logos when needed.

The logo for Batman is based on the logo for the show, with the word Batman in a stylized font embedded within a bat silhouette.

Though the comic book version of Robin has had a variety of logos throughout the years, Robin '66 has not, save the "R" symbol on his red tunic or vest, as Burt Ward calls it.  I  started with that "R" and made the rest of the letters in a similar font.

The Batgirl character was added to the show for the third and final season.  The opening credits were edited to include her and the actress who played her, the late Yvonne Craig.  So a Batgirl '66 logo of sorts does exist.  However, I went a different route, using a logo from the unaired Batgirl pilot.

Those are the logos for the heroes.  Next time, I will share some logos for the special guest villains and villainesses.
