Introducing... Renaissance Man

The Batman of the Justice Allies universe is the Renaissance Man.  He is aided in his work for justice by his kid sidekick Apprentice.  He represents the geographical area of Western Europe.

Behind the Scenes: One of the challenges of a project of this type is coming up with unique homages to characters with 80 years of publishing history.  For eight decades, The Batman has been re-interpreted, re-invented, re-designed, parodied, and "Bizarro-ed."  Marvel's version of Batman--Nighthawk--was a member of the Squadron Sinister and the Squadron Supreme.  In Kurt Busiek's Astro City, there is a Batman-like character named the Confessor.  In the DC Universe, there are Batman of other nations and other worlds.  The evil Batman of Earth 3 is Owlman of the Crime Syndicate of America.  On other parallel worlds, there is a vampire Batman, a Nazi Batman named Leatherwing, a First Nations Batman named Flying Fox, a "Bat-zarro," and more.

After a number of attempts, I came up with my own Batman--Renaissance Man.  Wearing da Vinci-style wings, he uses an arsenal of Renaissance-era vehicles, devices, weapons, and chemical compounds in his fight against crime.  (If someone else has come up with a similar idea... please don't tell me.)
